FAIRHAVEN, Mass. - The results are in, and Titleist is once again ahead of the curve. At the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Golf Championships, the most important on-course test of the year for collegiate golfers, the overwhelming majority of players trusted one ball above all others. Titleist. Given the option to play any golf ball they please, year after year when it matters most, the country's best and brightest rely upon the advanced technology and superior performance of the Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x for their success.

At the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship contested at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, 124 players in the field of 156 relied upon Titleist golf balls, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 16.

Titleist also was the overwhelming favorite of more players than any other brand across every major golf club category including drivers (60 vs. 28), iron sets (65 vs. 26), fairway metals (103 vs. 39), utility metals (39 vs. 17), sand, lob and approach wedges (186 vs. 45) and putters (72 vs. 27).

The individual Men's champion relied upon Titleist from tee-to-green for his success, including a Pro V1x golf ball, 909D2 driver, 909F2 3-wood, AP2 irons, Vokey Design pitching and sand wedges, a Spin Milled lob wedge, and a Scotty Cameron Newport Mid Slant putter for his success. All five members of the championship team trusted Titleist golf balls.

It was more of the same at the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship that was contested at Caves Valley CC in Owings Mills, Maryland. An overwhelming 118 of the 126 players relied upon Titleist golf balls. That was over 93% of the field and more than 29 times the nearest competitor with 4. Titleist Vokey Design sand, lob and approach wedges (106) and Scotty Cameron putters (46) were also the top choice among contestants at the event. In addition, the individual Women's champion relied upon the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball for her success, as did all five members of the championship team.
