Tacoma public course to stage 2015 U.S. Open

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The USGA announced Friday that the 2015 U.S. Open will be staged at Chambers Bay Golf Course

It will mark the first U.S. Open to be held in the PacificNorthwest.

"This is the first time the U.S. Open has been to Washington,and we are confident that the golf course will provide achallenging test for the best players in the world," said JimHyler, chairman of the USGA's championship committee.

Chambers Bay is a public course which opened just sevenmonths ago.
