Swing Science Introduces 800 Series Cast Iron

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Golf’s newest Custom OEM unveils its brand new S 800 Series Cast Clubhead designed for the custom clubmaker and exclusively available through its network of Swing Science Custom Fitting Centers.

 “Our new S800 Cast comes off the successful launch of our S800 Forged iron this past spring and gives clubmakers a viable alternative when fitting better players at a reduced cost,” according to Howard Miller, President of Swing Science which is headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.

The S800 cast shares the same specifications as its S800 Forged big brother with the primary difference be metallurgy.  The forged iron utilizes 1035 carbon steel and the cast uses a highly malleable 431-1 stainless material.  Both designs feature a unique power “V Bar” cavity that provides maximum heel and toe weight distribution that lends itself to a solid feel at impact.         

“The S800 cast iron represents our 3rd iron line introduced in 2008 and demonstrates are commitment to our network of Swing Science Fitting Centers,” says Miller, “our goal coming out of the PGA show was to sign up 500 new Fitting Centers and we are comfortably on pace to achieve that goal by years end thanks to a quickly expanding product mix.”
