Global Positioning System (GPS) devices have become popular among golfers seeking to take the guesswork out of yardage, and the SureShot GPS has increasingly become a favorite and affordable option.

A handheld golf course measuring device usable on golf courses worldwide, the SureShot GPS was awarded the GolfTest USA Seal of Excellence last year and was nominated in the Product Ingenuity — Emerging Companies Category of the 15th Annual International Network of Golf’s Industry Honors awards competition.

“Golfers all over the world are discovering the exceptional characteristics of SureShot GPS,” said Simon Webb, co-founder of Tee2Green Technologies, maker of SureShot GPS.

SureShot GPS is unique in the field of handheld GPS systems by virtue of several state-of-the-art features, including an editing capability which enables golfers to customize data on any golf course to fit their own games. The device automatically calculates the center of the green when a player self-maps a golf course and can remain fully charged for 13 hours.

Developed by Tee2Green Technologies Pty, Ltd., SureShot GPS was developed for the global golf market to answer the age-old question: “How far is it to the green?” This advanced handheld device features a specially-designed color, backlit screen with polarized filter that clearly displays distances to hazards and greens. The welcome screen can be customized for presentation as a corporate or personal gift. Distances can be measured from the tee to the front, center and back of the green, enabling mapping of the front and carry of up to 15 hazards per hole and up to 33 reference points per hole. A player has the ability to tailor his own mapping requirements, whether the selected golf course is professionally or personally mapped, with lay-up points, for example.

Another option allows a player to record and analyze statistical information for a round of golf, such as fairways hit, greens in regulation, etc. The device is capable of holding up to ten golf courses, subject to local rules in accordance with the ruling provided by the USGA and the R&A. MSRP $399.
