| | Tip provided by: Golf Academy of America. | A solid structure of a house is built from the ground up. In the golf swing, dynamic balance can also be a key building block. Developing the proper body mechanics and great posture in the swing may be the concrete that supports long term develop-mental changes in club mechanics.
Set-Up Place the grip end of a shaft or stick against the inseam of your trailing hip pocket. Place the second shaft forward of the lead hip by 5- to 8-inches.
Top of Swing Rotate the hips on the backswing ensuring that the trailing hip moves away from the shaft and maintain the secondary angle from the address position.
Transition and Impact The transition into the forward swing begins with the bump and rotation of the hips. The amount of bump depends on the type of shot and the club selection. In this example, I am just missing the second shaft with my lead hip.
Finish Complete the swing with the weight over the lead hip with a flat lead foot and well balanced finish.
