Stephanie Connelly wins '09 LPGA Florida Sectional Qualifier

VENICE, Fla. -- University of Central Florida Graduate and Futures Tour standout Stephanie Connelly of Pasadena, MD scored 76-68-70-71 for a four round total of 285 (-3) to win the LPGA Florida Sectional Qualifier. She now advances with 29 other players to the LPGA's Final Stage Qualifier at LPGA International golf course in Daytona, FL on December 2-6, 2009.

"I am really excited!" said Stephanie. "I am really looking forward to going down to Daytona and competing in the finals."

The LPGA Qualifier series is composed of two sectional qualifiers, one held in California and the other in Florida. Player's finishing in the top 30 after making a 36-Hole cut from both qualifiers move on to the final stage qualifier held at the LPGA International Golf Club and the home headquarters of the LPGA Tour.

Stephanie Connelly is a 2009 graduate Of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Political Science. She turned professional in 2009 after qualifying for the Duramed Futures Tour. Stephanie's hometown is Pasadena, MD and plays out of Sparrows Point Country Club. Stephanie has two dogs "Boomer" and "Dottie" and "Brutus" the turtle. All of who are dear to her heart.
