Srixon Z-TX Drivers and Fairway Woods Improve Distance and Accuracy

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- Srixon Sports' new high-performance Z-TX driver and fairway woods were designed to provide longer distance with increased accuracy for competitive golfers.

The Z-TX driver features Starburst variable face technology, which enlarges the driver's Coefficient of Restitution (COR), by 5 percent, providing added distance, consistency and forgiveness, as well as decreased power loss on off-center hits. The larger sweetspot, company officials said, allows mis-hits to benefit from a higher trampoline effect, which leads to increased ballspeed and added distance.

The new driver's face features a new low-density, highly elastic rolled titanium material called Super Ti-X51. This light-gravity material, when combined with the driver's Starburst variable face design, gives the Z-TX driver the largest and most responsive sweetspot that Srixon has ever brought to market.

The clubhead's body is made with a proprietary low density titanium, which, when combined with its Twin Cam sole design, allows for the redistribution of 11 grams of clubhead weight out to the extreme perimeter of the clubhead for increased Moment of Inertia (MOI). The 6-part bulge and roll, located on the clubface, helps reduce side spin and increase launch angles leading to better controlled mis-hits.

The Z-TX driver's 460cc shape profile was inspired by Srixon's professional tour staff, while the straight top-line shape allows for better alignment and added consistency on every shot. Available in lofts of 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degrees, the club carries a suggested retail price of $499.

The Z-TX fairway woods, made with a custom 455 Maraging steel face, also feature Starburst variable face technology, which allows golfers to generate higher ball speed and increased distance. Their Twin Cam sole strategically positions extra weight toward the extreme perimeter of the clubhead, creating higher MOI, which promotes a straighter ball flight and a more stable clubhead through impact.

The Z-TX fairway woods' aggressive leading edge also makes it easier to pick balls from tight lies and rough turf conditions. Available in lofts of 15 and 19 degrees, these new fairway woods carry a suggested retail price of $249 per club.
