Nicklaus Golf Equipment Company introduces new Polarity HP irons

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Nicklaus Golf Equipment Company continues to promote the benefits of stability and balance through its patented "Extreme Polar Weighting System" in the new model of irons introduced by the company for 2010: The Polarity HP.

The "HP" stands for "Hybrid Profile," which is Nicklaus Golf Equipment's latest adaptation to the extreme polar weighting system that was originally designed for the Polarity MTR irons by Chief Product Designer Clay Long. The Hybrid Profile on the new Polarity HP irons refers to a shallower club head - from the top-line to the sole.

As Clay Long states, "The importance for golfers to be able to achieve an optimum launch angle with their irons - and simply get the ball up into the air easily - cannot be overstated. The Polarity HP iron features a lower profile head, which allows for a lower CG (Center of Gravity). This, in turn, helps to create a higher ball flight."

Long goes on to add, "The new HP iron also features a thin-face construction, which allows for a higher trampoline effect so that golfers can achieve optimum distance in their iron shots."

"We all know the importance of a great drive," says Long, "But our customers are asking for equipment to help get to the green. That's what this year's Nicklaus Premium Collection is all about. Our patented Extreme Polar Weight Distribution technology creates an extremely high M.O.I. and Maximum Twist Resistance. Incorporating our new hybrid profile design alongside the patented polar weighting system only serves to enhance the performance of our new Polarity HP iron model."

"Traditional weighting on irons is toe to heel," points out Long. "With our new irons, weighting has extreme distribution from the toe to the hosel. This extreme polar weight distribution provides maximum twist resistance and a tighter shot dispersion."

The Nicklaus Premium Golf Equipment Polarity HP Irons feature:
--High M.O.I. due to the patented Extreme Polar Weight Distribution.
--Thin-face construction for maximum distance.
--Low center of gravity due to shallower hybrid profile design, promoting a higher ball flight.
--Double heat treated 431 pH stainless steel club head.
--Progressive offset and sole width--less on short irons; more on long irons.
--Feel enhancing Urethane Inset.

Nicklaus Premium Golf Equipment's Polarity HP Irons are offered from 4-PW, Gap Wedge, and Sand Wedge sold separately. Shaft offerings include FST Pro Silver Ultra Light Steel (regular and stiff); Precision Rifle Black Graphite in regular, stiff and senior flexes, and Nicklaus SG Pro 3.01 in ladies' flex. Standard sets are available in right hand only.
