Money list jockeying begins with Turning Stone Championship

VERONA, New York (Ticker) - The playoffs are over but the PGATour season is not quite finished.

With Tiger Woods having wrapped up the inaugural FedEx CupChampionship last week, play on the PGA Tour resumes with the $6million Turning Stone Resort Championship, which beginsThursday at Atunyote Golf Club.

John Rollins is in the field, and won an event here last year,the B.C. Open. It was his second PGA title, to go along withthe Canadian Open in 2002. Rollins carded four rounds in the60s and played the weekend in 64-66 to pick up the win.

At 22nd on the money list, Rollins is safely inside the cut offfor his tour card and should be able to wrap up an invite to apair of majors with a strong showing.

A number of players in the field are looking to get into the top125 on the money list and retain their tour cards for nextseason. The Masters and U.S. Open extend invited to the top 30on the final money list, while the top 20 earn invites to theBritish Open.

Atunyote Golf Club hosted the B.C. Open a year ago afterEn-Joie Golf Club was unable to host the event due to flooddamage.

The course at Atunyote is a 7,315-yard, par-72 layout.

First prize is $1,080,000.
