Everyone knows it's not easy to travel through airports these days but Sun Mountain Sports is making it a little easier. Long known for its golf bags and travel gear, the Missoula, Mont., based company is introducing its new ClubGlider, which it calls ‘the next evolution’ in golf travel bags. That is, instead of just featuring traditional wheels on the bottom of a golf travel bag, the ClubGlider features extendable legs and wheels to support 100 percent of the weight while eliminating the repeated bending and lifting required with traditional travel bags.

In other words, the ClubGlider design eliminates the owner's need to bend when and pick up the bag before pulling it on its wheels. Anybody who has stood in a ticket counter line at an airport or rental car company knows cumbersome that can be.

But with the ClubGlider (suggested retail price $299.99), walking around is much easier because thanks to the maneuverability of the bag's pivoting wheels. The ClubGlider, by the way, was one of the five finalists on The Golf Channel's  "Fore Inventors Only" reality show. Shorlty after the show, ClubGlider inventor Gary Sherrell signed a licensing agreement with Sun Mountain to finalize the design, manufacture, and distribute the ClubGlider golf travel bag.

The ClubGlider includes heavy-duty two-way zippers, foam padding extending down the travel bag to protect clubheads and shafts, two dual-entry storage pockets, internal cinch straps, ballistic fabric, vinyl-reinforced wear areas, and a lift assist handle.
