BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Golf education goes both ways: the student learns from the instructor, and the instructor often learns from the student. With this in mind, the Golf Academy of America (GAA) Phoenix is working with Arizona’s Hamilton High School golf team to give classroom and hands-on instruction to more than 50 golfers.

“Our students often find themselves, after graduation, teaching others how to improve their game,” says Tim Eberlein, PGA Master Professional and GAA director of golf. “Working with high school golf teams such as Hamilton is a great opportunity for our students to gain experience working with high school golfers. The game of golf is also about sharing your passion with others, and it has been inspiring to see relationships blossom in this context.”

Any high school that is in the local area of any GAA campus is welcome to contact the school to set up a campus visit for the high school golf team, and to arrange for any special seminars.

Opened in early 1996, the GAA Phoenix campus expanded in early 2006 to become a state-of-the-art facility inclusive of classroom, computer lab, club repair lab, library, lounge, student services and indoor golf center for instruction and video analysis.

Offering a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf business management, the Golf Academy of America provides graduates with the education required to get the golf job they desire.

The Golf Academy of America leads the industry in golf education and features four campuses in major golf markets – Phoenix, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. The GAA was founded in 1974 and is today accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) which is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.
