Eight Lucky Golf Academy of America San Diego Students Got a Rare Opportunity

SAN DIEGO, Cali. – Golf Academy of America (GAA) is not only committed to pursuing excellence in their classes but GAA strives to give students real world experience as well. Eight lucky GAA San Diego students got a rare opportunity to golf with a PGA top 100 Instructor, Jamie Mulligan, and attend a luncheon at the Virginia Country Club on December 6, 2009.
 
Jamie is also the COO of Virginia Country Club, which is currently celebrating its 100th year. Jamie is the instructor of several top PGA Tour and Champions Tour players, including: Craig Barloy, Bill Haas, Paul Goydos, John Mallinger, John Merrick, Pete Tomasulo and John Cook.

“GAA was delighted that our students were able to collaborate with Jamie and get his personal advice to advance their game,” says Chris Hunkler, President of the Golf Academy of America. “These students were ecstatic to have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity to golf with one of golf’s most prestigious instructors and Jamie really lived up to his name.” The eight students that were chosen are all in their 4th semester at GAA San Diego. The featured students were: Bryce Amoy, Patrick Baxter, Ryan Buttner, Derrick Dixon, Pierre Foster, Jake Kawaguchi, Brian Knowles and Shantel Nemecek.  Attending was PGA member Buck Page newly named National Career Services Director for Golf Academy of America.  Also pictured was PGA instructor Michael Flannagn and PGA instructor Tony Sable.
