PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla.—From May 3-9, THE PLAYERS Championship takes over the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass. During the weeklong event, culinary experts from TPC Sawgrass stay busy cooking for approximately 1,500 to 2,000 golfers and attendees with access to the clubhouse, in addition to two meals daily for more than 300 employees. During last year’s championship, these catering masters exceeded all food-related demands using or producing:

• 25,000 fresh, local shrimp • 10,000 chicken breasts • 3,500 hamburgers • 2,500 hot dogs • 2,000 pounds of turkey • 1,500 pounds of fresh, local fish • 400 pounds of dry pack scallops

Watching professional golfers makes fans thirsty requiring more than 7,200 shots of vodka, 2,200 draft beers and 1,000 Dark ‘n Stormy’s.

The new signature drink, Sawgrass Splash, combines Ketel One with fresh lemonade, orange juice and a splash of fresh lime juice, all served over ice in a tall glass, and is predicted to surpass the Ketel One Ultimate Lemonade with more than 4,000 sold at the TPC Clubhouse.
