Ping Golf, which has been riding a hot streak with its G5 and G10 series of drivers and metal woods, has started showing retailers its new Rapture V2 Series of titanium drivers and stainless steel metal woods. The V2 driver, already in play on the PGA Tour, features a tungsten alloy used to optimize CG (center of gravity) locations and maximize forgiveness. The V2 fairway woods each feature a steel body, tungsten sole and large shallow head profile. The V2 series will be available in late September. The V2 driver will carry a suggested retail price of $500 and the V2 metals $280 each.
