The new Scotty Cameron by Titleist California line of putters will be
available Oct. 15.

Titleist parent Acushnet Company says the Select technology Cameron introduced with the original Studio Select putter line, which allows the balancing of putter head weight with shaft length, has been incorporated into the new California line of putters, providing a wider range of choices for length and weight to enhance performance for a wide range of putting strokes.

The California line is distinguished by a unique "Honey Dipped" finish. The natural bronze finish is actually not “dipped” or plated, rather it comes from a heat-treat process that is part of the head manufacturing process. The result is a rich bronzed appearance that Acushnet says looks great in natural light while reducing glare.

"This new line brings modern playability and customization to some of my favorite designs from my early Classics and Handmade models,'' Cameron said. "Players who prefer the more flowing, less geometric lines of the Coronado or the Del Mar are now going to find that they don't have to sacrifice performance. With the wide range of weight and length options that we now have available, players can get a perfect fit for their stroke as well as their eye.”

Cameron California putters are precision milled from soft 303 stainless steel and are fitted with circular weights in the heel and toe that allow each model to be offered at 33-34- and 35-inch lengths (suggested retail price $325) well as 34-inch H and 35-inch H heavier weight
configurations (SRP $350).

In addition, Acushnet says the California putters can be lie adjusted +/- 2 degrees off of the standard 71 degrees for even greater fine-tuning. The new line features four models representative of towns in California - Coronado, Monterey, Sonoma and Del Mar - characterized by blade as well as mallet-style heads and two different neck styles.

In combination, Acushnet says these different options make it easy for players to choose a Cameron California putter with the appearance they prefer, the length and weight they need, and a neck configuration that provides the proper amount of toe flow during the stroke.

The company says each Cameron California putter features a draft sole design that keeps the putter square in the playing position for proper alignment and a high toe set-up that reduces the tendency for players to raise the toe and aim left of target.

The Coronado is a blade putter with a smooth, double-step flange and flow neck with a half shaft offset.

The Monterey is a blade body with smooth double-step flange with a back pocket and engraved site line, and a plumbing neck hosel with a full shaft of offset.

The Sonoma is a compact mallet with a D-shaped back flange and sight line, with a plumbing neck hosel with a full shaft of offset.

The Del Mar is a heel shafted, toe-heavy mid mallet design with engraved sightline on the back flange, and flow neck hosel with a half shaft offset.
