KINGSTON, Ontario, Canada — A big week for ACCRA premium golf shafts culminated in an exciting playoff victory at the 2008 Viking classic in Madison Mississippi. In fact two of the three PGA Professionals competing in the 2 hole playoff trusted ACCRA golf shafts to help provide power and accuracy.
Just to make the weekend even more exciting, multiple members of both the American and European Ryder Cup teams relied on ACCRA shafts in golf’s ultimate pressure cooker.
Now a 2 time PGA Tour Champion, this Greenville, North Carolina native and extreme sports junky, has now successfully returned from May 1st knee surgery and an eight week layoff to pot him first victory of the 2008 season vaulting him from 178th to 97th on the PGA Tour money list.
He used a TaylorMade Tour Burner 3 wood custom fit with an ACCRA XE 80 along with an Adam Idea 18 degree Hybrid outfitted with an ACCRA XH 85 Tour Edition red. It was the hybrid that received most of the notoriety during the exciting playoff, as twice he reached the par five 18th hole in two to clinch the victory. In fact birdying three of the last four holes enabled him to track down the week long leader and NC State grad who also wielded a custom fit Titleist 906 F2 13 degree 3 wood with an ACCRA XC 75 shaft.
