Nike Golf is introducing a trio of irons called "Victory Red,'' that begin shipping Nov. 1. The VR family includes Victory Red Forged TW Blades; Victory Red Forged Split Cavity; and Full Cavity Victory Red irons.  Nike Golf staff players Paul Casey, Trevor Immelman and Stephen Ames each played the Victory Red irons at The Barclay’s on the PGA Tour last week.

The Victory Red Forged TW Blade ($999.99) is the first iron that features Tiger Woods' famed "TW'' logo. Woods, in fact, worked with Nike Golf club engineers on the iron's design. The VR Forged Blade, according to Sean Miller, product line manager for irons at Nike Golf.

Miller said the VR Forged Blades are the first iron set available to the public that fits Woods’ specs. Woods used a 60-degree VR wedge during his victory at the 2008 U.S. Open.

The VR Red Forged Split Cavity irons ($999.99), Miller said, have a moderately wider sole and slightly thicker top line than the Victory Red TW Blades. Each iron includes a split back design that positions the center of gravity behind the sweet spot for ball control and forgiveness.

The Nike Victory Red Iron ($799.99 steel, $999.99 graphite) is a full cavity iron and has more offset than the Victory Red TW Blades and Victory Red Forged Split Cavity irons. Miller said the Victory Red Irons' deep full cavity, wide sole, thick top line and moderate offset provide added forgiveness and confidence for the average golfer.
